Site Fees and Deposits
A $1000 deposit is required to reserve your date. The site fee for an event on Saturday is $3,500.00 and $2,500.00 for an event on Sunday. We also require a $500.00 security deposit for any damages that may occur to the site during your event. The security deposit is refundable in full upon inspection of site that no damages have been made and the site was left clean.

What are the hours of operation? And how soon in advance can we arrive on the day of our event? We are open the day of your event from 9am to 10:30pm. The earliest the bride, groom, and family can arrive is an hour prior to your event. Vendors may arrive two hours prior to the event.
When can I visit?
You may call (805) 377-2240 , or email us at firstname.lastname@example.org to make an appointment. The site is shown by appointment only, and appointments are available seven days a week.
What lighting is provided?
We have more than adequate lighting throughout the site. There are several palm trees wrapped with lights, landscape lighting, and carnival lights above both the hors deouvres and reception area. You are more than welcome to rent additional lighting from DJ’s Catering if you feel the need.
Is liability insurance mandatory?
You will need to purchase wedding liability insurance to cover the possibility of any of your guest leaving your party driving drunk and getting in an accident. We highly recommend getting the insurance through R.V. Nuccio at www.rvnuccio.com. Proof of insurance is needed at time of final payment, which is 30 days prior to the event. You may not have your event without proof of insurance.
What if it rains on the day of our event?
At your 10 day meeting with DJ’s Catering you may discuss tent rental options in the case that it may rain.
Is there a rehearsal included?
An hour rehearsal is included in the site Fee. Rehearsals are held between the hours of 4:00pm – 7:00pm Monday thru Friday by appointment only.
How far in advance can I reserve a date?
Dates are reserved on a first come first serve basis. You may reserve your date as far in advance as you would like. But just as a reminder a non-refundable deposit is required upon reserving the date.
Is a tent included?
A tent is not included in the site fee. If you would prefer a tent, DJ’s catering may accommodate you with tent rental options.
Can we use a caterer of our choice?
We deal exclusively with DJ’s Catering, who was the readers choice winner for 2009 and 2010. They have exceptional menus, full bar services, equipment rentals, and many other services and accommodations. They have exclusive wedding menu packages for Tropical Paradise. Doug the owner is very flexible and willing to work with whatever ideas you may have to make your event memorable.
What is provided with the catering service?
The price per person includes all food, linens, chairs, tables, classic white china, water goblets, champagne flutes, cloth napkins, and stainless flatware. Complimentary services include pitchers of iced water with lemon on each dining table, pouring of champagne at the table for your toast, cake cutting and service, and all set up and clean-up (with the exception of client-provided décor).
Is there a bride’s room on the premises?
There is a beautifully appointed bridal room which includes a bathroom and adequate room for bride and bridesmaids. Use of this room will be available one hour prior to your event.
If we cancel our event is our deposit refundable?
Unfortunately the deposit is non-refundable.
How many guest can we have?
Tropical Paradise is equipped with adequate parking and grounds for up to 400 guest.
Do I need to rent a dance floor?
There is no need to rent a dance floor because there is a beautifully large 27 x 30 ft built in dance floor that can comfortably accommodate any size party.
When do I make payments?
Your deposit is required to reserve a date. Any payments may be made periodically but the full balance needs to be paid 30 days prior to your event. Payments may be made in the form of cash, check, or a cashier’s check.
Can I rent the site for only a Ceremony?
Yes, they are held in three hour increments but the available time frames may vary depending on the availability that day.
